Just got the orders for these name plaques on ETSY. I'm mailing them tomorrow. Not sure if they'll get there in time for Christmas. I hope so!!

We made a bunch of these bookmark books today for a little party favor for a lunch Diane is hosting on Friday. Wouldn't they make the best book club favors too? They are so fun and easy to make and useful too. What more could you ask for?
Ours ended up about 6" long and 2" wide. They have 10 pages of blank white paper in them. I think my next batch I'll make them a little narrower just so they are even more bookmarky.

Made about 34 of these tonight for a church meeting next week. I was happy with the way they turned out. Very simple, but pretty, I think. (Of course I would have to photograph the one where the title was glued on crooked!) :-) We got the idea for the Silent Lesson here.
While I was making these I was thinking about some crafting theories I have:
1. Everything looks better with a bunch of ribbon tied to it (I LOVE ribbon!):
3. A little Mod Podge and some paper can make almost anything pretty:

How fun are these? My daughter got this blanket when she was born. I don't think she ever used it but I set it aside because I LOVE the print on it. So Diane and I made these pillows today from one baby blanket. Don't they just look like snuggly pajamas? They are thick, squishy fleece, so they feel just like snuggly pajamas too!

I was busy decorating for Christmas today--a little early, but when a cold front moves through Southern New Mexico (it snowed a little!!), you start feeling Christmas-y.

I began by painting a wood block and wood ball black. I painted the head on the ball. I tried to capture Madeline's beautiful blue eyes and lovely hair. I collaged the front of the block with sky paper and words. (The quote is Madeline's favorite.) I then added some golden embellishments. The arms are a pencil and a paint brush since Madeline is an amazing artist. The legs are vintage door stoppers.

This is for a friend's new baby.
These two are a custom order for a set of twins (ordered from e-bay).
This is for a trade with another artist friend.
And this one is for my brand new niece!
