Bullet Journal Pages 226-227
Some Thanksgiving doodles on these pages. And a little color bleeding from the turkey to the facing page. Must have had some water drops on there somehow.

Not a whole lot going on here, but I kinda like that the letters on November on the right page look like they have turkey feathers on them.

A Gift For My Sister
My sister has a Fall birthday and her house is our gathering place. This little painting is for her birthday.
The painting is 7"x5" and I did it on a wood sign purchased on clearance from Kohls. I bought a bunch of these box signs and painted them with first white, then black gesso. And they made a great painting surface! I like finding new uses for things and finding inexpensive things to paint on!
Here's an edge view of this painting so you can see how thick the sides are.

Newest Painting - Glasses Girls No. 1
I'm doing a series of paintings for the optometry office where I work. This fashionista is the first in the Glasses Girls series. The glasses are cut from wood and attached to the canvas.
I will take pictures of the series once they are all done and hung. But to get an idea of size -- the glasses are 22" across. So for me this is a BIG painting. I usually work smaller than this. But I like the impact of a larger painting.
18" x 24" acrylic and wood on canvas
She's based on a sketch I did years ago but have always wanted to turn into a painting.

For most of the year I'm pretty meh about this color scheme. But come October and November I want EVERYTHING to be red, yellow, orange, and brown! Can you see the word in my color doodle? I pictured it being a lot more prominent because the letters are colored in with Papermate Flair felt tips and the rest is colored with Prismacolor Colored Pencils. But it still sort of fades into the rest.

I am so happy it's Fall! It's my favorite time of year! Now if the weather would just cooperate and cool down, that'd be great.

Lots of color this week. On the right page, I just drew some lines, swirls, and circles with a black Papermate Flair pen and colored in the spaces with Prismacolor Color Pencils. The perfect way to relax and let your mind wander.

Quote People - Sarah
So even without any sort of world summit or discussion, we, as adults, all know when we tell a kid "5 more minutes", we actually mean "I'm going to talk to my friend for like 30 more minutes because you can't tell time". Am I right?
My friend Sarah came over the other night and we must have told her little cutie Patrick "5 more minutes" at least 7 times. (At one point I think he even said, "Mom, isn't it like, my bedtime or something?!?")

Again, I never expect anyone besides myself to be able to make sense of my crazy trip journaling pages. But it's my favorite way to write down memories and specific things we did and places we went. I start with the biggest lettering and end by filling in any blank space with tiny lettering until I feel like I've recorded all I can and filled the page.
This may be the more color I've ever added to one of these journaling pages. I think it adds a fun element!

I was trying several different lettering styles on these pages so it's a bit of a chaotic mess. (Really not sure what I was thinking with all that yellow on Friday. Ugh!!) But it's the last few weeks of school so life is a bit of a chaotic mess right now so it's all good!

Bullet Journal Pages 167 WIP - A Face a Day In May
I'll be adding 30 more faces to this page this month. It's gonna get crowded up in here. I did A Face a Day last July and I've done other Mays full of faces. So I'm excited to do it again. Plus I never need an excuse to draw faces!

My friend wrote this on Facebook recently. I feel like there's a story there. How does that happen??

St. Patrick's Day week and I was feeling GREEN! On the page of girls, I was working mainly on hair so I kept the facial features mostly the same which sort of created a Children of the Corn/Stepford vibe. Oh well. They're all dressed for St. Patrick's Day in their shades of green.
