My daughter and I didn't love the sports theme of them and considered these for a long time. We knew we couldn't just paint over the balls since they are indented into the wood. Finally, we realized we could just turn the drawers around so the balls are facing in. The drawers wouldn't have the little notch at the top. But we solved that by drilling two holes and adding a little jute drawer pull.
Oh yeah, did I mention we bought 2? :)

Oh, I love this shelf so much. Wow, I think Peyton is now better and smarter at refinishing items than me. She is dang clever. This looks so chic.
ReplyDeleteYou made it look like brand new. The design is way better than before. Did you re-paint it? One of the most enjoyable things to do in bargaining shopping items is to reinvent them, and you did a pretty good job here! :)
