Two New ETSY Listings
Just put these two on ETSY. This is it folks, no more Jingle Blocks. What's in my store is all I have and I've made a little "no more buying paper" rule for myself. I had to cut myself off. So I'm not planning on making any more (unless a really fun custom order comes in--then I make break my paper rule).

Is There Nothing I Will Not Mod Podge?
I've had these "M"s around the house forever. I was looking at one of them the other day and thought, "Why have I not Mod Podged that yet?!?" So I got right to work.
This one sits on my desk
And this one is on a shelf in the kitchen
A Custom Name Sign
This one was ordered from ETSY to go on a surprise playhouse for Christmas. I was so excited to be a (very slight) part of this fun gift for a sweet little girl. Who didn't dream of getting a playhouse for Christmas??

It's Beginning To Look a lot Like Christmas...
Everywhere you turn...
I was busy decorating for Christmas today--a little early, but when a cold front moves through Southern New Mexico (it snowed a little!!), you start feeling Christmas-y.

EBSQ Portrait Swap 2007
This is my entry for the EBSQ Portrait Swap Show for 2007. I swapped with Madeline Carol Matz. I really wanted to try something new for this and after browsing Madeline's blog, I thought she'd be up for something different.
I began by painting a wood block and wood ball black. I painted the head on the ball. I tried to capture Madeline's beautiful blue eyes and lovely hair. I collaged the front of the block with sky paper and words. (The quote is Madeline's favorite.) I then added some golden embellishments. The arms are a pencil and a paint brush since Madeline is an amazing artist. The legs are vintage door stoppers.
The entire piece has a very fun, playful feel to it which is what I was going for since that was the feel I got from Madeline herself.

Want some hat with your bow?
No Monday Crafting Crew this week. Everybody's out of town for Thanksgiving. Not me though. We like to stay close to home for Thanksgiving. The kids are done with sports for a while so I celebrated last night by staying home, watching T.V. and knitting. (I am a party animal!) Here's the result:
And worn by the recipient, Ashlynn...(how sweet is this?)

Monday Crafting Crew
Here's what we did today. There is no stopping us with the Mod Podge! We began by painting the wood blocks black. Then added the paper background and letters. Then we had fun adding ribbon, buttons and bows, oh my! Now if we just had a Bedazzler, we could change the world! :-)

Haley's Hat
Got the JOY blocks done and mailed this morning. I love commissions, but it's also so nice when they are done.
Here's my latest knitting project. A hat for my niece Haley. Got the pattern in Itty-Bitty Hats by Susan B. Anderson which I highly recommend for all knitters. The stuff in there is so cute!
