And what do you need in the summer? A Watermelon Bag! Just finished this little cutie this afternoon. I've had the idea for this bag in my head for weeks. And when I went to start it I found that I had the perfect yarn in my stash--that doesn't always happen. So I got right to work.
I had a different fabric in mind for the liner. In fact, I bought this fabric for a completely different project, but when I pulled out all my fabric, I noticed this one actually even has watermelons on it. It was a sign. Sewing the liner is my least favorite part. Sewing is still new for me. But it has a squared off bottom and a pocket--not bad for a beginner!Not sure where this bag is going to end up. Maybe ETSY, maybe a gift, maybe my closet... :) We'll see.
