IF - Wrinkles

Penelope, 24" x 18"

Penelope's friends often teased her about her propensity for very large hats, but the sun had never touched her face and she dared anyone to find a wrinkle anywhere. Oh yes, she'd have the last laugh.

This is my entry for Illustration Friday this week. The theme is wrinkles.

Two New Paintings

A Little Bird Told Me, 8.25" x 4.5" mixed media on 1/2" MDF

Where Do You Go To Dream?, 8.25" x 3.5", mixed media on 3/4" MDF

Just finished these last night. To be honest, for the past few weeks I was just about ready to throw in the towel. The ideas were not flowing. Then finally, inspiration struck and these two little cuties are the result. I quite like them both. I have another larger painting almost done. Will hopefully get to it tomorrow before our guests come from Ohio. If not, it will have to wait until next week.

These two are most likely headed for ETSY later this week.

Update: both paintings have SOLD

A Little Makeover

These little cuties have been on ETSY for a while, but I felt like they needed something. So I got out some ink, colored pencils, and newspaper and I got to work. I think they look much better after their "Extreme Makeover". Don't you agree?

IF - Primitive

This is my entry for Illustration Friday this week. The theme is "Primative".

From Wikipedia: Primitive is a subjective label used to imply that one thing is less "sophisticated" or less "advanced" than some other thing. Being a comparative word it is also relative in nature.

Evan may be less sophisticated and less advanced than some, but he sure knows how to party!
